Old Kintyre
A companion book to 'Old Campbeltown and Machrihanish', this has 50 pages of images of Kintyre in Argyll as it was in days gone by.
Villages featured include Tarbert, Whitehouse, Clachan, Tayinloan, Gigha, Muasdale, Glenbarr, Bellochantuy, Southend, Carradale, Stewarton and Drumlemble, with each image having explanatory text and introductory preface.
Photographs include the Loch Fyne fishing fleet, the paddle steamer Columba, Highland cattle on the road at Tayinloan, Gigha and its ferryman, the lighthouses at the Mull of Kintyre and the island of Sanda, Keil House before it was burned to the ground, and the old pier and school house at Carradale.
